In (1), Meadows thanks Kean for sending him an article praising Kean's art. Meadows feels that Kean has carried out his "truly original ideas as to realizing the...intentions of the Divine Bard." (2) indicates that the Rev. Derwent Coleridge saw Kean's Lear and was "delighted beyond measure with [Kean's] 'most masterly performance.'" Address on item appears as: 6 The Grange, Brompton.
